• Improve app performance and fix bugs using crash analytics

🤳 4. Face Recognition & Biometric Data

Skoolly uses on-device face detection (via Google ML Kit) for student and teacher attendance registration and verification.

• Facial data is used solely for attendance verification within your school
• Face embeddings are stored securely on our servers and accessible only to your school's administrators
• We do not sell or share facial recognition data with any third party
• Biometric login (fingerprint/Face ID) data is processed entirely on-device by the operating system and is never transmitted to our servers

📍 5. Location Data

We collect location data for the sole purpose of verifying that attendance is marked from the school premises (geofencing).

• Location is only accessed when the attendance feature is actively used
• We do not track your location continuously in the background unless you explicitly grant background location permission
• Location data is not shared with advertisers or third-party analytics services
• Location history is retained for attendance audit purposes only

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Student academic records are retained for the duration of enrollment plus 3 years
• Attendance records are retained for the active academic session
• Fee payment records are retained for 7 years for financial compliance

• Student accounts are created and managed by school administrators, not by students directly

• We comply with applicable child data protection laws including COPPA (where applicable)

Our website (skoolly.tech) may use standard session cookies for functionality. No tracking cookies are used for advertising.
